Toronto, ON – February 26, 2025 – MacPherson Builders and Dancor Construction proudly marked a significant milestone with a groundbreaking ceremony on February 25, 2025, for their latest commercial project in Stayner, Ontario. This development is poised to enhance the local economy and provide a variety of retail and dining options to the community.
The ceremony was attended by local officials, business leaders, and community members who gathered to celebrate the project’s advancement. The upcoming commercial hub will feature prominent retailers, including Foodland, LCBO, Dollarama, and McDonald’s, aiming to create new employment opportunities and attract patrons from across the region.
“This project represents more than just retail—it’s an investment in the community, creating jobs and enhancing the local economy,” said Sean Ford, President of Dancor Construction.
During the event, PC Candidate for Simcoe-Grey Brian Saunderson, Clearview Mayor Doug Measures, several members of Clearview Township Council, and MP Terry Dowdall shared their support, highlighting the project’s role in fostering economic growth and enhancing the area’s appeal.
In addition to celebrating the commercial development, Russell Higgins, President of MacPherson Builders, expressed gratitude to PC Candidate for Simcoe-Grey Brian Saunderson and Clearview Mayor Doug Measures for their efforts in securing $35 million in funding from the Province of Ontario’s Housing Enabling Water Systems Fund. This funding will facilitate the construction of the Klondike Park Road Well Site, Reservoir, and Pumping Station, enabling MacPherson and other local builders to move forward with the development of 4,000 draft-approved housing units in the area.
